2003 TOYOTA ESTIMA

Stock # 949
$29,800
This 2003 Toyota Estima comes with dual Welcab features of rear ramp and front transfer which is rare and unique as this is the first Estima Welcab we have had with both features. It has only done a verified 61,000 km which is a rare find for a vehicle it's age especially a Welcab with the 2 features after it is a Toyota so it will continue to give you plenty more years like Toyota's are well known for.

This is a 2.4 L Estima and we all know Toyota engines are renowned for their longevity and reliability so it’s often a smart idea to look for a van like this with slightly more km’s because it represents value and smart buying – especially with the overall excellent condition and service history.

The Estima is spacious, seating 5 plus a wheelchair or position in the rear, so there’s room for everyone you may need to transport. Plus the front passenger transfer seat so the wheelchair passenger can transfer to have close proximity to the driver and the
wheelchair or mobility scooter can be stored in the back for a comfortable ride.

Toyota Estima Wheelchair Feature

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic ramp and sloper. Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and the ramp operates effortlessly at the touch of a button and the front transfer seat works exactly the same.

When activated, the ramp pulls down and the rear of the car also lowers (hence the name sloper) to create an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.

When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts and wire cables safely and securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. At the push of a button the belts and wire cables lock the wheelchair/scooter into a fixed position so the wheelchair/scooter is extremely safe.

We also fit International standard ‘Q-Straints’ or similar to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair/scooter for your safety.

Local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, and manufacturing quality of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are superior.

Wheelchair & Toyota Estima Dimensions

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair and transfer seating position are as follows:
Wheelchair Spot = Entrance Height: 132 cm, Cabin Height: 135 cm, Length: 115 cm, Width: 77 cm.

2015 TOYOTA HIACE COMMUTER

Stock # 936
$51,500
A 2015 petrol Toyota Hiace Commuter Welcab with 2 wheelchair spots and a power wheelchair hoist in excellent condition with 47,000 km on the clock is the perfect vehicle for anybody wanting to transport a larger group of people because of its 2 wheelchair spots plus 7 fixed seats. This van has come out the Toyota factory as a wheelchair accessible vehicle and in our minds trumps anything you will get converted in the country.

If you’re looking for a durable and reliable car to transport a maximum of 7 plus 2 wheelchairs then look no further. This like new Hiace Commuter would be excellent as a school bus run, community bus, aged care facility bus or it would suit a large family with wheelchair needs.

Fitted with an easy to use power operated wheelchair hoist that facilitates simple powered entry, a smooth ride and excellent vision for the wheelchair passenger. It has a large lift capacity of 300 kg so is able to lift the heaviest wheelchairs and passengers.

Safety handrails for wheelchair occupants and double seatbelts ensure passengers are looked after in the rear of the vehicle. There are also handrails for the second row seats as well as power windows A/C, airbags, central locking, immobilizer and 3 child restraints.

Toyota Hiace Wheelchair Feature

The Hiace is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed rear electric hoist. The hoist was made to fit in this car so the fitment and quality are perfect and the hoist operates simply, effortlessly and most importantly – extremely safely. We recommend you have a look at the video above to see just how easily and safely wheelchair occupants can enter (and exit) the car.

It is our opinion after years in the wheelchair car industry that the standards, vehicle knowledge and manufacturing quality of Toyota Welcabs are far superior to local after market options.

About the Toyota Hiace Commuter

Not surprisingly the Hiace is one of the top 3 selling commercial vans in our market. It is a trusted choice by many Australians because they know that Toyota enjoy the reputation of building the most durable and reliable vehicles in the world today.

The Hiace has been around since the 1960s and this van is its 5th generation so it has been upgraded and improved upon through all those years. They come in short, long wheelbase, petrol and diesel with an enclosed and panelled rear or windows all around and rear window opening and closing features.

With an incredible interior space they lend themselves well to being the perfect mini bus with a wheelchair feature in the rear.
