2008 TOYOTA VELLFIRE

This 2008 Vellfire has the 'wow' factor. It has a unique accessibility feature of a middle seat which sits on an electric arm and turns out of the vehicle, extends and lowers to the ground. Once on the ground it becomes a dual battery powered wheelchair. It can be controlled by a carer from the rear or by the wheelchair occupant with controls on the arm of the wheelchair. The rear seats can easily lift and stow to reveal a sizeable boot area for all the luggage you'd need for that weekend away. There are storage compartments in the dash, center and doors and even a special compartment for driving glasses.

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic ramp and sloper. Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and the ramp operates effortlessly at the touch of a button. (Take a look at the pictures above)
When activated, the ramp lowers and the rear of the car also lowers hydraulically (hence the name sloper) to create an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.
As mentioned above this Noah has the added feature of pulley belts so when the belts are hooked onto the wheelchair a switch activates the pulley system to engage and 'pull' the wheelchair into the vehicle. When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring.
We also fit International standard Q'Straints’ to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair/scooter for your safety.

It has a remote operated rear wheelchair ramp that lowers and folds out at the push of a button. As the ramp lowers the rear of the vehicle also hydraulically lowers to a 9-11 degree incline which makes entering and exiting the vehicle safe and easy for the wheelchair passenger.
The wheelchair position is in the second row behind the driver. The original accessibility feature has a winch system. The 'winch' belts can be pulled out of the vehicle to the base of the ramp. They can be hooked onto the front of the wheelchair and 'pulled' or 'winched' into the vehicle position.
The Q'Straints have been added to the vehicle to meet ADRs. Currently the original Autech accessibility equipment can be used in NSW and the Q'Straints can be used Australia wide.
