The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) aims to empower and support people with disabilities and their families to enhance their quality of life by being able to choose and achieve their goals.
The criteria to be a 'participant' in the NDIS includes residency requirements, being under 65 years of age, and being able to demonstrate a permanent disability that affects everyday life and activities. Funding for supports is determined by consideration of a person’s individual needs, goals and aspirations. Once the participant has their ‘Plan’ they can exercise choice and control over their supports from a marketplace of providers.
Here at ICSAR we are proud to be supporters of the NDIS. We are certified providers which means we can support you in helping you get more independent and integrated into your local community.
