2013 TOYOTA ALPHARD

Stock # 1378
$41,500
This stylish 2013 Toyota Alphard Welcab sloper is in very good condition inside and out. It has 2 potential wheelchair positions where the wheelchair occupant can ride. One in the second row left side of the vehicle. The other wheelchair position is in the rear. This gives the wheelchair occupant the choice of using one position or another. Toyota Alphards are designed to be incredibly comfortable for the driver, the passenger and - most importantly - for the wheelchair occupant.

This particular vehicle looks more like a luxury van than a wheelchair vehicle. It was designed to have a comfortable interior and classy exterior. The Alphards are well designed for wheelchair use and fit for purpose. The front and second row seats are large and bucket shaped. The middle row seat reclines with a foot rest. This design means that if the wheelchair occupant can transfer then they will be able to move across into the passenger seat next to the wheelchair - push backwards, recline and put their feet up on the foot rest. This would be advantageous if undertaking a classic Aussie long highway trip!

The rear seats stow on the sides of the rear of the vehicle if not needed or if they are required they easily lower and lock into the car floor. Take a look at the photos and the video above.

With full electrical component features, the Alphard has all the extras you'd expect: power windows, mirrors, dual air con, second row dual sliding side power doors, interior 'mood' lighting, ultra soft quality seats and carpet.

Toyota Alphard Wheelchair Feature

As discussed above the Alphard was designed with an amazing handling stability and a roomy interior, which means an extra comfortable ride for everyone inside especially the wheelchair passengers.

This particular vehicle has 2 wheelchair positions to choose from. Both positions have floor mounts front and back into which the restraints are placed. The restraint hooks are extended and locked onto the appropriate position on the wheelchair. Two points holding the front and two holding the rear. Each position is secured with a lap and shoulder belt.

The rear ramp is powered by a hand held remote which electrically lowers and while it does so the rear of the vehicle hydraulically lowers to enable an easier access into the vehicle.

Check the measurements of the person while seated in their wheelchair and see if they fit comfortably into these measurements below:

Toyota Alphard Engine, Economy & Reliability

The Alphard is a 2.4 L, 4 Cylinder Automatic which travels at 11.6 km per litre. The Alphard is truly impressive and in our opinion the best there is in the wheelchair accessible vehicle (WELCAB) market.

As we have said many times before - Toyota engines are world renown for their longevity and reliability, which is why it’s the main brand we stock. It is also a reason why Toyota has a long history of being the largest selling manufacturer in the world. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, you’re after a Toyota Welcab – it really is that simple.

Pricing of our factory built Japanese Toyota wheelchair and mobility vehicles is lower than the European brands, and also lower than locally modified vans. If your wheelchair occupant fits comfortably into the positions noted above then this may be the perfect vehicle for you.

2011 TOYOTA NOAH

Stock # 1374
$28,500
A metallic silver 2011 Noah Welcab Sloper is in excellent condition and has only travelled a verified 41,500 km. It seats 1 wheelchair spot + 3 passengers (depending on the size of the wheelchair) or 4-6 seats. For the wheelchair position It has front belts on a winch pulley system. If you engage the pulley system it helps pull the wheelchair into the car for you - no more pushing or lifting!

We have many cars in stock and this one presents particularly well with a metallic silver exterior and dark interior - perfect for cleaning and hiding any spills. The overall condition of the car is extremely clean – inside and out. (check out photos above)

The Noah has a surprisingly spacious interior. The clever design makes room for everyone and everything else you may need to transport. Plus, the wheelchair spot in the second row has close proximity to the driver. It has a carers seat next to it for those passengers who need constant access to their carer. Also riding in the second row gives the wheelchair passenger great vision, ample room and a comfortable ride.

The Toyota Noah is an incredibly popular Welcab that drives more like a sedan. If you may be reluctant to drive a van - don't be, once you try you will be surprised at how easy it is to drive!

Toyota Noah Wheelchair Feature

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic ramp and sloper. Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and the ramp operates effortlessly at the touch of a button. (Take a look at the pics above)

When activated, the ramp lowers down and the rear of the car also lowers hydraulically (hence the name sloper) to create an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.

As mentioned above this Noah has the added feature of pulley belts so when the belts are hooked onto the wheelchair the remote activates the pulley system to engage and 'pull' the wheelchair into the vehicle. When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring.

We fit International standard Quick-Secure wheelchair restraints to meet Australian Design Rules & Regulations (ADRs). This secures your wheelchair/scooter for your safety. This Voxy comes with a current engineers certificate (VSCCS) that covers wheelchair use Australia wide by an RMS appointed engineer.

Wheelchair Features

The Toyota Alphard is designed in factory by Toyota’s engineers. This Alphard is a 'sloper' ie; it is named after the hydraulic 'sloping' mechanism in the rear of the vehicle. As the car lowers an electric ramp unfolds at the same time. The lightweight yet strong aluminium ramp touches the ground at a 9 to 12-degree angle allowing a gentle incline for the wheelchair occupant to be loaded into the car.

We also fit International standard ‘Q-Straints’ or similar to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair for your safety.
