2012 TOYOTA PORTE

Stock # 1268
$33,800
If freedom to drive again is what you want then look no further than this extremely unique SELF DRIVE Porte. This extraordinary car is perfect for those wanting to get back behind the wheel feel free and independent.

Toyota factory engineers have developed this car with an OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured disability hand control driving system and driver’s power wheelchair. Please see the photos above as in this case - seeing is believing! You can use regular foot pedals also as per a standard car.

Almost as a bonus to this one of a kind self-drive car it also happens to have just 8,800 km on the clock so presents as new with a lovely sandy beach metallic exterior and beige interior.

About this Vehicle
The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car. The engineering in the Porte is incredible – this self-drive - even more so.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice. It’s the perfect size for 2 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair Features
Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte – and this one is even more exceptional.

This car has an OEM power wheelchair fitted into the driver’s seat. At the push of a button the driver’s seat moves into the correct position which then enables it to move sideways towards the passenger door. The chair then rotates 90 degrees so that it now faces outside. The arm then lowers the chair to the ground.

The wheelchair passenger can detach from the ‘arm’ on which it sits by using the toggle on the arm of the power chair to move forward. The chair is powered by a battery source at the back of the chair. This battery enables the chair to travel an incredible 4.5km. That gives you more than enough power to head to the mall, to the beach, or as many of our clients have told us – a car like one of these has allowed them to go back to work.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car. turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position and enable it to slide back to the drivers position again.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions
As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. In case your French is a little rusty, 'Porte' is logically French for 'door'.

The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 116.5cm tall and 102cm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Toyota Porte, we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.

There is a staggering overall internal height of 138cm. This is due to the cleverly designed flat floor and higher roofline for the factory wheelchair access versions.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions Height: 172cm | Length: 399cm | Width: 169cm

There is a very handy boot space and the rear seats can easily fold down to provide even more space if required.

It's very important that you measure the wheelchair person sitting in their wheelchair from ground level to the top of their head to ensure this vehicle is right for them.

Engine, Economy & Reliability
This Porte has a reliable 1.3 Litre 4 Cylinder 2NZ-FE engine. For the frugal ones among you this car operates at around 20.6 km/L Arguably the most fuel-efficient wheelchair access car on the market today.

We’ve got the largest range of Porte’s in the country so please feel free to contact us for a inspection or test drive of this great little car.

Warranty Options & After Sales Support
All our quality wheelchair vehicles come standard with a 3 month/5,000km warranty. Extended warranties of 1, 3 or 5 years are available upon request.

2023 TOYOTA NOAH

Stock # 1267
$98,800
Why wait a year or two for a car to get converted when you could have this vehicle in six weeks or less. This ticks all the boxes for a vehicle which can apply for vehicle modifications through your Ndis Plan. Please give us a call and we can walk you through the process.

This is a 2023 Toyota Noah Welcab sloper. It has hydraulic lowering and a pull out manual ramp. It has a winch mechanism which can pull the wheelchair into the vehicle. Please see the video above which shows how the features work.

As it is a 2023 model it is in immaculate condition inside and out.

This Welcab is the perfect wheelchair accessible car for those not wanting a big van. This is the first of the new series of the Toyota Noahs to arrive in the country and has all the bells and whistles you would expect from Toyota.

Ask any Toyota owners or those in the industry - Toyota's vehicles are built to travel long distances - they're pretty much bullet proof. We estimate they are built to drive 500,000 to 700,000 km's which is one of the reasons why Toyota enjoy the reputation of being the largest selling car manufacturer in the world.

This Noah comes registered and with a VSCCS (Engineers certificate) for wheelchair use by an RMS appointed engineer that will cover all states and territories Australia wide.

Wheelchair Features
This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic sloper and pull out manual aluminum ramp (take a look at the photos and video above). Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and when activated, the rear of the car lowers (hence the name sloper). The ramp when lowered is at an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up and down the reduced incline.

This particular Noah has a set of retractable belts that are operated by a switch and a remote. The belts are placed around the wheelchair while it is at the base of the ramp. At the touch of the switch the belts aid in pulling the wheelchair into the car. It’s pretty cool to watch and is a great example of Toyota engineer’s commitment to producing welcab features which truly help make life easier for wheelchair passengers and their carers.

It is our belief after years in the industry that local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standard of Toyota. We have also added additional Q'Straint restraints to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair/scooter for your safety. Again please take a look at our informational video above.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions
Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:
Height: 138 cm | Length: 100 cm | Width: 80 cm | Entrance: 143 cm

It's very important that you measure the wheelchair person sitting in their wheelchair from ground level to the top of their head to ensure this vehicle is right for them.

Engine, Economy & Reliability
This Noah has a 2L 4 Cylinder 3ZR -FAE engine. This means it has an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 14.2km/L on highway driving. These are excellent numbers in spite of the extra weight and engineering of the Toyota wheelchair modification. Toyota engines are world renowned for their longevity and reliability which is why it’s the main brand we now stock. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, you’re after a Toyota Welcab – it really is that simple.

Warranty Options & After Sales Support
All our quality wheelchair vehicles come standard with a 3 month/5,000km warranty. Extended warranties of 1, 3 or 5 years are available upon request.

2016 TOYOTA PORTE

Stock # 1266
$34,800
This 2016 dual power electric wheelchair Porte has a unique galactic aqua exterior and complimentary brown patterned interior with eye catching orange insert on the dash. This Porte comes with all the technology, bells and whistles you'd expect from a quality Toyota car. It has travelled only 21,500 km. We have also added a new Carplay stereo system that has reverse camera and Bluetooth.

Why the Porte has become so popular so fast

The Toyota Porte and Spade have quickly become one of our most popular compact wheelchair access vehicles because, according to customer feedback, clients can now travel in the front passenger seat with the driver beside them. They feel connected to their driver rather than being chauffeured in the rear of a larger people mover - which for many are the stereotypical wheelchair vehicles on offer.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. 'Porte' actually means 'door' in French - the door in these cars make transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and economy, it’s an excellent choice if bigger isn’t always better for you. It’s the perfect size for 2 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

How Does the Porte Wheelchair Accessible Feature Work?

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Spade and Porte wheelchair feature. As you can see in the photos and video above (very good idea to watch). This car has an OEM wheelchair fitted into the passenger seat.

The chair is sitting on an electric arm which rotates 90 degrees and lowers the chair out and beyond the vehicle, the wheels lower and the the chair also lowers onto the ground. The chair then detaches off the arm and the wheelchair passenger or carer can easily drive the wheelchair from the switches on the rear of the chair or from the toggle on the arm. The chair is powered by a battery which is housed on the back of the chair and can be charged in your home. Once fully charged the wheelchair can travel around 5 km.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car. Once the chair is raised, the wheels stow under, the chair turns 90 degrees back into the car and returns the chair to the correct position. It really is an engineering marvel!

Wheelchair & Overall Toyota Porte Dimensions

As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 1165 mm tall and 1020 mm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Spade and Porte we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.
