Before choosing a car, there is one important thing you need to know:
Measurements:
Measure the person while seated in their wheelchair. You will need to measure height (from the floor to the top of their head or head rest), length and width of the chair.

2012 TOYOTA VELLFIRE

This 2012 pearl white Toyota Vellfire Welcab is in excellent condition and was well looked after in Japan. it has a unique configuration: 2 wheelchair positions with OEM (Original Equipment Manufactured) winch systems. If the wheelchair user has a push wheelchair the winch systems make going into and out of the vehicle so much easier and safer. The front belts on the winch are released and are placed onto the front of the wheelchair - then the winch system is activated and the wheelchair is 'pulled' into the vehicle.

We also add Q'Straint top mounts to the front and the rear positions of your particular wheelchair so that the restraints are fitted to your particular wheelchair. On point of sale this Vellfire comes registered and with a VSCCS (Engineers certificate) for wheelchair use by an RMS appointed engineer that covers all states and territories Australia wide.
About the Vellfire
The rear of the car lowers hydraulically and the ramp folds out onto the ground to allow a reduced and safe incline for the wheelchair to enter the car (Sloper). It has 2 wheelchair spots and has only travelled just 94,000 km, the Vellfire will give you years of trouble free motoring in style.
Remember – these Welcabs (wheelchair vehicles) are made in the Toyota factory in Japan and built to carry wheelchair passengers so the suspension and interior accessibility fitout is exceptional. Feedback from wheelchair passengers is that they are impressed with how comfortable it is to ride inside the vehicle.
These cars were designed with ease of use and comfort in mind. It has exceptional handling stability and a roomy interior which lends itself well to be an ideal transport for wheelchair passengers. The bucket velour seats are wide and soft with plenty of legroom. The rear seats are incredibly simple to operate.
With full electrical component features the Vellfire has all the extras you’d expect - power windows, mirrors, dual AC, a second row passenger side power doors (operational from a button on the dash), interior ‘mood’ lighting (again – from a button on the dash). Toyota Carplay stereo with Reverse Camera and Bluetooth (check out all the features listed below), ultra soft quality seats and carpets.
Of all the things that are impressive about the Vellfire our clients are mostly amazed by its quiet motor and handling - especially on the highway. This understated yet elegant pearl white 2008 Toyota Vellfire Welcab sloper is the perfect car for someone who prefers a more luxurious looking vehicle. It was designed to have an ultra comfortable interior and classy exterior. The Vellfire has a commanding presence on the road and the best thing about them is they do not look like a wheelchair accessibility vehicle.
The Welcab (wheelchair vehicle) feature has a rear wheelchair spot with electric restraints that winch the wheelchair into the car - check out the pictures above to see the OEM Original Equipment Manufactured belts and winch systems in action. It is a full size interior which supports 2 wheelchairs with 3 seats or 7 seats when the wheelchair spot in the rear is not being used.
The passengers have not been neglected - the front passenger seat is a recliner with a foot rest so you can truly relax on those long highway trips. The driver's seat has electric memory which moves upwards, downwards, forward and back - so you can find that perfectly comfortable driving position. The rear seats stow on the sides of the rear of the vehicle if not needed or if they are required they easily lower and lock into the car floor. Toyota Vellfire Wheelchair Feature
The rear of the Vellfire has an aluminium ramp which is operated by a corded controller positioned in a cradle in the rear left side of the vehicle. Press the controller and the ramp extends out. At the same time the rear of the vehicle hydraulically lowers to create a low gradient for the wheelchair to be able to access.
In this Vellfire the rear wheelchair position has an OEM Winch where the belts can extend out of the vehicle and pull the wheelchair into the vehicle. We have installed rear Q Straints to meet Australian Design Rules and can custom fit the position of the front Q Straints so that they fit your particular wheelchair.
