Wheelchair Accessible Feature

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte wheelchair feature. This car has an OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured - push wheelchair fitted into the passenger seat.

The wheelchair sits on an electric rotational arm which rotates, extends out of the vehicle and lowers to the ground. The chair then detaches and the wheelchair passenger or carer can easily use the manual wheelchair. The design of the wheelchair and the large aluminium wheels makes the wheelchair extremely easy for the occupant or carer to push and manoeuvre.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm. Cables hook onto the rear of the wheelchair for safety and then the arm raises the wheelchair back into the car and turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position.
