This is a 2004 pearl white (photos look bright red but it is actually maroon in colour) Estima Welcab with a factory built rear wheelchair ramp and wheelchair restraints designed and engineered in the Toyota factory. This Estima has travelled a verified 49,000 km which is nothing for a Toyota.

This Estima comes registered with a VSCCS (Engineers certificate) for wheelchair use by a RMS appointed engineer that covers all states and territories. We can also modify this car to suit your wheelchair and lifestyle.

A big plus with these cars is the rear of Estima Welcabs lower hydraulically and the lightweight aluminium ramp lowers electrically so there is absolutely no bending or lifting for the carer. The ramps are under a meter long and the floor is flat so the ramp is incredibly simple and easy to access.

It is designed to comfortably seat 5 plus a wheelchair in the rear or 6 adults. We have seen families of 3 take out the middle row of seats so the wheelchair person feels more connected to the passengers in the front row. The space where the seats were is successfully used for storage so smaller families have also loved the Estima welcab.

Welcab Wheelchair Features

The fantastic features in this car aren’t after sale wheelchair modifications - each Estima has been custom built with wheelchair users, carers, and their families in mind - right from the drawing board!

This vehicle includes a factory designed, engineered and manufactured hydraulic sloper and electronic aluminium ramp. An extra bonus is the ramp on this Estima is short – only 97 cm long and a mere 9 -11 degree angle for an extremely easy wheelchair access.

This Estima has a 2.4 L 4 Cylinder 2AZ -FE engine. This means it has an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 14.2km/L on highway driving. These are excellent numbers in spite of the extra weight and engineering of the Toyota wheelchair modification.
