2006 Toyota Porte

Stock # 831
$28,200
This is a battery powered transfer wheelchair 2006 Toyota Porte. It has a stunning metallic bronze exterior and tasteful interior - cream beige material seats with a gold and brown fleck. A cream and black dash with woodgrain completes what is quite a stylish and individual look which is synonymous with our understanding of the Porte designs.

It's a lovely little car, perfect for a couple where one has a little trouble walking but want to get out and about with their partner in the drivers seat.

About This Car

The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car because, according to customer feedback, clients can actually travel in the front passenger seat with the driver beside them. They feel connected rather than being chauffeured in the rear of a larger people mover - which for many are the stereotypical wheelchair vehicles on offer.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, and it's easy to see why it’s an excellent choice and bigger isn't always better.

It’s the perfect size for up to 4 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair Accessible Feature

Without exception, customers are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte wheelchair feature. It has a battery powered luxury wheelchair (which comes with the car). It sits on an electric arm which rotates and lowers the wheelchair out of the car.

The chair then detaches for use and the person literally can drive away. There are hand controls on both the wheelchair itself for the passenger as well as additional controls at the rear of the chair for the carer should they be required.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car, and turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position.

The passenger wheelchair seat is especially clever and warrants further elaboration. It’s a fully autonomous power wheelchair with up to 4.5km’s travel distance on a single charge.

More About The Toyota Porte

As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. In case your French is a little rusty, 'porte' is logically French for 'door'.

The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 1165mm tall and 1020mm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Toyota Porte we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.

There is a staggering overall internal height of 1380mm. This is due to the cleverly designed flat floor and higher roofline for the factory wheelchair access versions. Rather than looking like an afterthought, you probably would never have noticed the higher roof because it is so well done and disguised in the overall car design.

There is a very handy boot space and the rear seat can easily fold down to provide even more space if required. Perfect for a weekend away on a shopping spree (if you're that lucky!).

For the frugal ones among you, the penny pinchers, the bargain hunters, you’ll love to know that the car operates at only 8.9L/ 100km. Arguably the most fuel efficient wheelchair access car on the market today.

We have the biggest range in Australia of Toyota Welcab and Nissan Lifecare wheelchair and mobility vehicles available for inspection or test drive so please feel free to pop down and check out this fantastic wheelchair car for yourself.

2004 Toyota Voxy

Stock # 776
$22,800
A 2 wheelchair spots 2004 Voxy Welcab sloper designed, engineered and installed in the Toyota factory to suit 2 normal size push wheelchairs or 1 power wheelchair. It presents well with a pearl white exterior and dark grey interior – a great colour for a family car - easy to clean up all those spills!. With just 92,000 km on the clock this car is just hitting its stride. Toyota engines are world renown for their longevity and reliability which is why it’s the main brand we now stock. It is also a reason why Toyota has a long history of being the largest selling manufacturer in the world.

The best feature of this car is by far its interior design. It is perfect for a family of 3 or 4 plus a wheelchair as this gives you plenty of wheelchair space, leg room, a carers seat beside the wheelchair and the bits and bobs you need for that weekend away! It does however have a maximum capacity to seat 6 plus a wheelchair depending on the size of the wheelchair.

About This Car

The Voxy is one of our most popular wheelchair accessible cars. Clients often come looking for a small car but when they try the Voxy or Noah they are blown away by the space within the car, the ease of getting in and out of the car (especially for the wheelchair passenger) and how simple and effortless the car is to drive. Clients also say they especially like the added vision they get while driving a mini van compared to a smaller sedan.

Extremely user friendly, the rear seats are simple to lift and stow, lower and lock.
The Voxy is spacious, seating a maximum of 6 plus a wheelchair person, so there’s room for everyone and everything else you may need to transport. Take a look at the photos above to see the clever interior design.

Toyota Voxy Wheelchair Feature

As mentioned above this car is manufactured in the Japanese Toyota factory. It has a hydraulic sloper and push button electric aluminium ramp – so a real bonus is there is no ramp lifting whatsoever. The fitment and quality of the wheelchair feature is perfect and when activated, the rear of the car lowers (hence the name sloper). The ramp extends outwards and lowers to the ground. Thus an optimal angle is created for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.

This particular Voxy has a set of retractable belts which can be placed on the wheelchair when it is at the base of the ramp. These belts have an added safety feature – they will hold the wheelchair in place if the carer lets the wheelchair go. When the wheelchair is inside the car and at the correct position a push button switch fastens the belts. Rear cables tie the wheelchair or you can choose Q'Straints to lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. It is a great example of Toyota engineer’s commitment to producing Welcab features, which truly help make life easier for wheelchair passengers and their carers.

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:
Height: 135 cm
Length: 120 cm
Width: 65 cm

Width: 169 cm

Toyota Voxy Engine, Economy & Reliability

This Voxy has a 2L 4 Cylinder 3ZR -FAE engine is an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 14.2km/L on highway driving. These are excellent numbers in spite of the extra weight and engineering of the Toyota wheelchair modification.

2004 Toyota Alphard

Stock # 761
$33,800
This 2004 Alphard is particularly perfect for larger families or parents who wish to grab the kids and some friends too - it offers so much flexibility. It is an 8 seater or a 5 seater with a wheelchair position in the rear. Not only does it have all the excellent welcab features Toyota are renowned for but it also has second row seats which all swing around and face the rear - so if you're off on a picnic you only need to open the doors, swing the seats around and have your lunch together inside the vehicle - very civilised.

It has travelled 109,602 km which might be a bit off putting if it wasn't a Toyota - as we've said many times as long as the car is well serviced Toyota's are made to run 500,000 km plus. Here at Integrity Car Sales And Rentals we try our very best to offer wheelchair access cars of all types to fit the needs and budgets of all our clients.

The Alphard was designed to be ultra comfortable and easy to use. The bucket velour seats are wide and soft with plenty of legroom. The rear seats are incredibly simple to operate. The on road handling and quiet motor are impressive and most importantly our wheelchair clients say the suspension is so good they don't feel the bumps when driving. Actually one client said that for him it was a 100 times better ride than a car which had an after market modification.

Toyota Alphard Wheelchair Feature

This Alphard is a sloper – it is named after the hydraulic sloping mechanism in the rear of the vehicle. As the car lowers an electric ramp unfolds at the same time. The lightweight yet strong aluminium ramp touches the ground at a 9 to 12 degree angle allowing a gentle incline for the wheelchair occupant to be loaded into the car.

When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts and wire cables safely and securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. At the push of a button the belts and wire cables lock the wheelchair into a fixed position so the wheelchair is extremely safe.

We also fit International standard ‘Q-Straints’ or similar to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair for your safety.

In our opinion local aftermarket conversions simply cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, and manufacturing quality of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are so superior.

2010 Toyota Porte

Stock # 722
$32,800
If freedom to drive again is what you want then look no further than this extremely unique SELF DRIVE Porte. This extraordinary car is perfect for those wanting to get back behind the wheel feel fee and independent.

Toyota factory engineers have developed this car with an OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured disability hand control driving system and driver’s power wheelchair. Please see the photos above as in this case - seeing is believing! You can use regular foot pedals also as per a standard car.

Almost as a bonus to this one of a kind self drive car it also happens to have just 27,680 km on the clock so presents as new with a lovely silver exterior and beige interior.

About This Car

The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car. The engineering in the Porte is incredible – this self drive - even more so.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice. It’s the perfect size for 2 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair Accessible Feature

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte – and this one is even more exceptional.

This car has an OEM power wheelchair fitted into the drivers seat. At the push of a button the driver’s seat moves into the correct position which then enables it to move sideways towards the passenger door. The chair then rotates 90 degrees so that it now faces outside. The arm then lowers the chair to the ground.

The wheelchair passenger can detach from the ‘arm’ on which it sits by using the toggle on the arm of the power chair to move forward. The chair is powered by a battery source at the back of the chair. This battery enables the chair to travel an incredible 4.5km. That gives you more than enough power to head to the mall, to the beach, or as many of our clients have told us – a car like one of these has allowed them to go back to work.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car. turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position and enable it to slide back to the drivers position again.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions

As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. In case your French is a little rusty, 'porte' is logically French for 'door'.

The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 1165mm tall and 1020mm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Toyota Porte we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.

There is a staggering overall internal height of 1380mm. This is due to the cleverly designed flat floor and higher roofline for the factory wheelchair access versions.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions Height: 1720mm Length: 3990mm Width: 1690mm

There is a very handy boot space and the rear seats can easily fold down to provide even more space if required.

Toyota Porte Engine and Economy

This Porte has a reliable 1.3 Litre 4 Cylinder 2NZ-FE engine. For the frugal ones among you this car operates at around 20.6 km/L Arguably the most fuel efficient wheelchair access car on the market today.

We’ve got the largest range of Porte’s in the country so please feel free to contact us for a inspection or test drive of this great little car.
