2016 Toyota Esquire

Stock # 823
$69,800
Good news! If you are an Ndis Participant and you have Vehicle Modifications in your Ndis Plan you don't need to buy a fairly new car or a certain type of car and wait for it to be converted - this factory made wheelchair accessible vehicle is ready to go and you can use your Ndis funding for the wheelchair accessible part.

Introducing the new and improved luxury version of the Noah/Voxy - it is aptly named - the Esquire. And this 2016 Toyota Esquire Welcab Sloper is that much more special because at 3 years old and 18,200 km it fits well within the NDIS requirements for a wheelchair accessible vehicle. The Esquire has been called the luxury business edition of Toyota's smaller vans.

If looking good is important to you then this car won't let you down. It boasts a chromed bar grille in front with a sword and shield emblem. Classy. It has high gloss exterior paint work and silver exterior accents. The interior has not been forgotten either with high quality black cloth finish, edged with classic white stitch on bucket seats. Leather wrapping and metallic trimmings on the dash and the steering wheel. Even the interior doors are accented with leather and chrome. Take a good look at all the photos above - it was built to be impressive!

Toyota Esquire Wheelchair Features

The Esquire seats 5 plus the wheelchair in the rear. As mentioned above the wheelchair access features are made when the car is built in factory so the fitment is perfect but the best thing of all is that the suspension is exactly measured for a person in a wheelchair to be riding in the rear. Clients tell us the ride is ultra comfortable - and that's what we would expect from Toyota's engineers. Don't take our word for it though - come and try it for yourself.

The rear of the vehicle lowers hydraulically and the lightweight aluminium ramp pulls out. The front belts which attach to the wheelchair operate on a winch system. See the video above to see just how easy it is to use. Push a button which releases the front belts. They are placed on the front of the wheelchair and then at the push of another button the wheelchair is winched into the car. Rear wire cables attach to the rear of the wheelchair and lock the rear safely to the floor of the vehicle. We can also add Oval pockets to the rear position if needed.

Enjoy the freedom this Esquire will give you and your family now!

Toyota Esquire Wheelchair and Car Dimensions

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:
Height: 139cm Length: 100cm Width: 80cm Entrance: 143cm

Overall Vehicle Dimensions: Height: 185cm Length: 458 – 462cm Width: 169cm
Easily fit into any car park!

Toyota Esquire Engine Economy and Reliability

The Esquire has a 2L 4 Cylinder 3ZR -FAE engine with CVT. This means it has an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 14.2km/L on highway driving. So it certainly ticks the economical and stylish boxes for the money spent.

As we say over and over - and as anyone in the vehicle industry will tell you - Toyota engines are world renowned for their longevity and reliability. Or as those in the industry say - they are bullet proof. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, you’re after a Toyota Welcab – it really is that simple.

2005 Toyota Noah

Stock # 819
$23,800
This 2005 silver Toyota Noah Welcab is one of our rare medium sized disability vehicles with 2 wheelchair spots. In practical terms that means it seats 3 plus 2 wheelchairs or 4-6 + 1 wheelchair or 6 passengers. This makes for a lot of versatility in one wheelchair car. It has a verified 94,000 km on the clock which for a Toyota means that it's engine is just beginning to hit it's stride and has many years of motoring ahead.

A slightly older vehicle like this can represent smart buying and value for money especially with the overall excellent condition of the car and service history. The Toyota Noah is an incredibly popular welcab that drives more like a sedan. For first time van buyers it’s a very easy driving experience.

The best thing about these welcabs is that you can come and try them. Bring your person in the wheelchair, pop them into the rear and after considering all things: interior wheelchair set up, Toyota vehicle, excellent car condition, your family needs and how the car meets those needs and your budget. Then you will be in the perfect position to make a decision. Remember you can also rent a similar vehicle and 'try before you buy'. If you buy a vehicle we will discount a weeks rental.

Toyota Noah Wheelchair Feature

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic ramp and sloper. Therefore, the fitment and quality is perfect for the vehicle and the ramp operates effortlessly at the touch of a button. When activated, the ramp lowers and the rear of the car does also (hence the name sloper) to create an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.

When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts and wire cables safely and securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. At the push of a button the belts and wire cables lock the wheelchair into a fixed position so the wheelchair is extremely safe.

We also fit International standard Oval pockets and ‘Q-Straints’ to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair for your safety.

Have a look at the video above to see just how the wheelchair features work. Also check out the photos and you will see that this wheelchair vehicle is in immaculate condition.

It is our opinion that local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, engineering quality and price of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are an excellent choice.

Wheelchair & Toyota Noah Van Dimensions

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:
Height: Front Spot 133 cm Rear Spot 136 cm.
Width: Front Spot 70 cm Rear Spot 78 cm.
Length: Both Spots 90 cm.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions:
Height: 185cm Length: 458 – 462cm Width: 169cm

It's very important that you measure the wheelchair person sitting in their wheelchair from ground level to the top of their head to ensure this vehicle is right for them.

Toyota Noah Engine, Economy & Reliability

The 2.0L 4 Cylinder 1AZ-FSE engine is an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 5.5L/100km on highway driving. These are excellent numbers in spite of the extra weight and engineering of the Toyota wheelchair modification.

Toyota engines are world renowned for their longevity and reliability which is why it’s the main brand we now stock. It is also a reason why Toyota has a long history of being the largest selling manufacturer in the world. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, then a Toyota welcab is a perfect choice. Don't let us tell you. Come try for yourself.

2009 Nissan Serena

Stock # 801
$34,800
This 2009 Nissan Serena Lifecare wheelchair accessible vehicle is great value for a mobility vehicle with remote operated wheelchair hoist and restraints made in the Nissan factory in Japan by Nissan's top engineers. Nissan are very reliable and buying a Nissan Lifecare wheelchair vehicle is always gonna be cheaper and easier than waiting for a local car conversion company. The wheelchair hoist has a weight limit of 170 kg so this is perfect for a child in a small push chair or for somebody that can transfer into the car but still needs to transport a wheelchair . The entrance height is 1150 mm and once inside the cabin height is 1300 mm with a width of 720 mm on the hoist and length of 960 mm.

The Nissan Serena was the best selling minivan in Japan in 2007, 2008 and 2009 and its easy to see why. This Serena has a unique power wheelchair hoist that is operated by remote. When lowered the wheelchair passenger rolls on to the platform and is secured in by the restraints and seat belts and then lifted in to the rear of the van. It has 4 fixed seats and the wheelchair position is in the rear.

All the wheelchair features in this van were all made by Autech in collaboration with Nissan. It is our belief that they are a far superior vehicle for the wheelchair passenger than after market modified cars and vans simply because the whole car was created from the beginning to carry a wheelchair passenger. The engine was designed to carry the weight of a wheelchair plus passenger in the rear and the suspension was designed specifically with the wheelchair passenger in mind.

Our customers are always impressed and surprised by the simplicity of these vehicles and always leave happy with their new car.
Please feel fee to contact us with any questions about this van or any others on the website we are always happy to help. We also offer Australia wide delivery. Please call us on (02) 99811884 or 0408 204 425 to come check out this vehicle or any others on our site.

2014 Toyota Noah

Stock # 787
$48,800
For Ndis Participants looking to apply for funding for a second hand already modified vehicle this car fits within the criteria of 5 years and 80,000 km. This means that if you are going into review you can apply for vehicle modifications. If you already have vehicle modifications in your plan then we can give you paperwork and the information you need to share with your OT and get your funding approved. Give us a call and we'll help you with the process.

This vehicle is a 2014 metallic brown Toyota Noah with the futuristic new shape sloper with manual ramp and is in tiptop condition. With a verified 88,000 km this WELCAB is the perfect wheelchair accessible car for those not wanting a big van and it has the potential for 2 small wheelchairs or plenty of room for 1 power wheelchair or mobility scooter.

Ask any Toyota owners or those in the industry - Toyota's vehicles are built to travel long distances - they're pretty much bullet proof. We estimate they are built to drive 500,000 to 700,000 kms which is one of the reasons why Toyota enjoy the reputation of being the largest selling car manufacturer in the world.

The Noah is one of our most popular wheelchair accessible cars. Clients often come looking for a small car but when they try the Voxy or Noah they are blown away by the efficiency of useable space within the car, the ease of getting in and out of the car (especially for the wheelchair passenger) and how simple and effortless it is to drive. Clients also say they especially like the added vision they get while driving a mini van compared to a smaller sedan.

Toyota Noah Wheelchair Feature

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic sloper and manual pull out aluminium ramp (take a look at the photos above). Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and when activated, the rear of the car lowers (hence the name sloper). The ramp when lowered is at an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up and down the reduced incline.

This particular Noah has a set of retractable belts that are operated by a switch. The belts are placed around the wheelchair while it is at the base of the ramp. At the touch of the switch the belts aid in pulling the wheelchair into the car. It’s pretty cool to watch and is a great example of Toyota engineer’s commitment to producing welcab features which truly help make life easier for wheelchair passengers and their carers. It is our belief after years in the industry that local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standard of Toyota.

Toyota Noah Wheelchair and Car Dimensions

With stunning metallic black paint and a complimentary brown and cream patterned interior it's a lovely car all round.
