2013 Toyota Porte

Stock # 758
$34,800
A metallic black 2013 "new shape" dual power electric wheelchair Porte presents immaculately and the only thing it's missing is the new car pricing, in fact, you're basically paying peanuts with the included wheelchair feature when compared to after market conversion costs. With beautiful metallic black paint and a complimentary brown and cream patterned interior it's a lovely car all round. This new model Porte comes with all the technology bells and whistles you'd expect from a quality Toyota car.

Why the Porte has become so popular so fast

The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car because, according to customer feedback, clients can now travel in the front passenger seat with the driver beside them. They feel connected rather than being chauffeured in the rear of a larger people mover - which for many are the stereotypical wheelchair vehicles on offer.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice if bigger isn’t always better for you. It’s the perfect size for up to 4 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

How Does the Porte's Wheelchair Accessible Feature Work?

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte wheelchair feature. As you can see in the video above (very good idea to watch), This car has an OEM wheelchair fitted into the passenger seat. The chair is hooked onto the arm for added safety.

The chair then detaches and the wheelchair passenger or carer can easily push the wheelchair. When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car and turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position.

Wheelchair & Overall Toyota Porte Dimensions

As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 1165mm tall and 1020mm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Toyota porte we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.

There is a staggering overall internal height of 1380mm. This is due to the cleverly designed flat floor and higher roof-line for the factory wheelchair access versions.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions

Height: 1720mm
Length: 3990mm
Width: 1690mm

Toyota Porte Engine and Economy

This Porte has a reliable 1.5 Litre 4 Cylinder 1NZ-FE engine For the frugal ones among you this car operates at around 20.6 km/L Arguably the most fuel efficient wheelchair access car on the market today.

Pricing of our factory built Japanese Toyota and Nissan wheelchair vehicles is always lower than the European brands and also lower than the locally modified vans available here. Much more research and development has been done on the factory built vehicles. As well we supply vehicles that are cheaper to run and maintain.

We also deliver Australia wide and have shipped and supplied many wheelchair and mobility vehicles all over the country to families and to government and private nursing homes, care groups and also to specialist facilities.

Please feel free to contact us on(02) 9981 1884 or 0408 204 425 about any vehicles you have seen on our website we are always more than happy to point you in the right direction when looking for a mobility or wheelchair accessible car.

2010 Toyota Voxy

Stock # 698
$25,800
You don’t see many Voxys like this one. It is a 7 seater with a new look stylish shape which has a transfer power wheelchair seat in the second row. Like the Porte’s this car has a comfy bucket seat chair which is sitting on an electric arm. At the push of a button the arm rotates, lifts slightly and lowers the wheelchair half way out of the car. It pauses while the wheels of the seat lower then all is completely lowered to the ground.

Without a doubt people are very impressed when they see the extraordinary fitment, engineering and practicality of these well designed transfer chair welcabs.

The greatest thing about this type of wheelchair feature is you can use the transfer chair or not depending on who you have in the car with you. If you are not using the chair it just becomes one of 7 seats in this well designed family car.

It is a stunning white with a practical dark interior which is perfect for cleaning away any family spills or food stains. (Please see the photos above)

It is a great example of Toyota engineer’s commitment to producing welcab features, which truly help make life easier for wheelchair passengers and their carers.

It our belief after years in the industry that local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, and manufacturing quality of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are superior.
