The Vellfire was designed in 2008 as a variant of the Alphard. At the time of release the Vellfire was described as having 'strength and strong individuality'. As mentioned above the first thing you notice is that the Vellfire is more impressive. Toyota Vellfire Wheelchair Feature

This car is what we call a Sloper which means the wheelchair access is at the back of the car and the ramp lowers by remote. As the ramp lowers the rear of the vehicle also lowers hydraulically which creates an angle of 9-11 degrees - a small incline for the w/c occupant to enter and exit the vehicle with ease.

The front belts are on a winch system and are operated by a hand held remote. The carer guides the belts out of the vehicle and onto the correct place on the wheelchair. The wheelchair can then be 'winched' into the vehicle. The rear of the vehicle is fixed to the floor with Q Straints.

This vehicle is built as a wheelchair access vehicle in the factory so as mentioned above the suspension is purpose built to carry a wheelchair occupant in the rear so no surprises that clients are impressed with how comfortable is is to ride in.
