2013 Toyota Spade

Stock # 745
$32,800
This uniquely yellow 2013 Spade with only 24500 km on the clock is an extraordinary little vehicle which will make the world of difference to a family or a couple who have a person who struggles to get in and out of their vehicle. In our experience many couples have had their lives changed by these vehicles. They have discovered a new freedom which had been denied to them. This car is particularly wonderful because the wheelchair is super lightweight which makes pushing and manoeuvering the wheelchair so easy for the partner.

The interior is a tasteful dark grey, brown and cream with hints of orange. Its shape gives the interior a spacious feeling. The boot is a good size for those weekends away ... but far and away the most amazing part of this car is its wheelchair accessible feature (read below).

About This Car

The Toyota Spade (Porte) has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car because, according to customer feedback, clients love that they can actually travel in the front passenger seat with the driver beside them.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice if bigger isn’t always better for you. It’s the perfect size for up to 4 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair Accessible Feature

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Spade wheelchair feature. This car has an OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured - push wheelchair fitted into the passenger seat.

The wheelchair sits on an electric rotational arm which rotates, extends out of the vehicle and lowers to the ground. The chair then detaches and the wheelchair passenger or carer can easily use the dual electric battery powered wheelchair.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car and turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions

The powered passenger door opens to a remarkable 1165mm tall and 1020mm wide making it an excellent size for a wheelchair. Until we saw our first Toyota Porte we couldn’t believe how much access you genuinely get with this intelligently designed sliding door.

There is a staggering overall internal height of 1380mm. This is due to the cleverly designed flat floor and higher roofline for the factory wheelchair access versions.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions

Height: 1720mm
Length: 3990mm
Width: 1690mm

There is a very handy boot space and the rear seats can easily fold down to provide even more space if required. Perfect for a weekend away or on a shopping spree (if you are that lucky!).

Toyota Spade Engine and Economy

This Spade (Porte) has a reliable 1.5 Litre 4 Cylinder 1NZ-FE engine. For the frugal ones among you this car operates at around 20.6 km/L Arguably the most fuel efficient wheelchair access car on the market today.

2002 Toyota Noah

Stock # 738
$22,800
This 2002 Toyota Noah in pearl white is smartly matched with a dark grey interior and the overall condition of the car is excellent considering the age and km's. With 76,000 km this car has only just started to hit its stride and will continue to deliver years of trouble free motoring pleasure.

Toyota engines are renowned for their longevity and reliability so it’s often a smart idea to look for a van like this with slightly more km’s because it represents value and smart buying – especially with the overall excellent condition and service history.

The Toyota Noah is an incredibly popular welcab that drives more like a sedan. For first time van buyers it’s a very easy driving experience.

The Noah is spacious, seating 6 plus a wheelchair or scooter position, so there’s room for everyone and everything else you may need to transport. Plus, the wheelchair spot is in the second row so the scooter or wheelchair passenger has close proximity to the driver. It has a carers seat next to it for those passengers who need constant access to their carer. Also riding in the second row gives the wheelchair/scooter passenger great vision, ample room and a comfortable ride.

Toyota Noah Wheelchair Feature

This is a Japanese Toyota factory designed, engineered and installed hydraulic ramp and sloper. Accordingly, the fitment and quality is perfect and the ramp operates effortlessly at the touch of a button.

When activated, the ramp pulls down and the rear of the car also lowers (hence the name sloper) to create an optimal angle for the wheelchair person to easily navigate up the reduced incline.

When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts and wire cables safely and securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. At the push of a button the belts and wire cables lock the wheelchair/scooter into a fixed position so the wheelchair/scooter is extremely safe.

We also fit International standard ‘Q-Straints’ or similar to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair/scooter for your safety.

Local aftermarket conversions cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, and manufacturing quality of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are superior.

Wheelchair & Toyota Noah Van Dimensions

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:

Height: 132cm Length: 100cm Width: 68cm.
Overall Vehicle Dimensions: Height:
185cm Length: 458 – 462cm Width: 169cm

It"s very important that you measure the wheelchair person sitting in their wheelchair from ground level to the top of their head to ensure this vehicle is right for them.

Toyota Noah Engine, Economy & Reliability

The 2.0L 4 Cylinder 1AZ-FSE engine is an ultra-reliable motor consuming only 5.5L/100km on highway driving. These are excellent numbers in spite of the extra weight and engineering of the Toyota wheelchair modification.

Toyota engines are world renowned for their longevity and reliability which is why it’s the main brand we now stock. It is also a reason why Toyota has a long history of being the largest selling manufacturer in the world. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, you’re after a Toyota Welcab – it's that simple.

Warranty Options & After Sales Support

All our quality wheelchair vehicles come standard with a 3 month 5,000km warranty. Extended warranties of 1,3 or 5 years are available upon request.

2009 Toyota Vellfire

Stock # 733
$60,000
The Lexus Vellfire is the stylish luxury version of the Alphard. It was designed to have a more comfortable interior and classy exterior with more strength and individuality. The interior has soft quality furnishings combined with metal and woodgrain surfaces which give a unique impact.

The Welcab feature is truly top of the range with rear wheelchair spot with electric restraints that winch the wheelchair into the car - check out the video above to see the OEM Original Equipment Manufactured belts and winch systems in action. It is a full size interior which supports 1 wheelchair plus 4 seats or 7 seats hen the wheelchair is not in the car.

If you want to travel comfortably and in luxury then this is the car for you. The passengers have not been neglected - the front and second row seats are large and bucket shaped. They also recline with a foot rest so you can truly relax on those long highway trips. Toyota Vellfire Engine, Economy & Reliability

The Vellfire is a 2.4 L, 4 Cylinder Automatic which travels at 11.6 km per litre. The Vellfire is truly impressive and in our opinion the best there is in the wheelchair accessible vehicle (WELCAB) market.

As we have said many times before - Toyota engines are world renown for their longevity and reliability, which is why it’s the main brand we stock. It is also a reason why Toyota has a long history of being the largest selling manufacturer in the world. If you’re after reliability for your wheelchair vehicle, you’re after a Toyota Welcab – it really is that simple.

Pricing of our factory built Japanese Toyota wheelchair and mobility vehicles is always lower than the European brands, and also lower than the locally modified vans available here. Much more research and development has been done on the factory built vehicles. As well we supply vehicles that are cheaper to run and maintain.

2010 Toyota Porte

Stock # 722
$28,800
If freedom to drive again is what you want then look no further than this extremely unique SELF DRIVE Porte. This extraordinary car is perfect for those wanting to get back behind the wheel feel fee and independent.

Toyota factory engineers have developed this car with an OEM - Original Equipment Manufactured disability hand control driving system and driver’s power wheelchair. Please see the photos above as in this case - seeing is believing! You can use regular foot pedals also as per a standard car.

Almost as a bonus to this one of a kind self drive car it also happens to have just 27,680 km on the clock so presents as new with a lovely silver exterior and beige interior.

About This Car

The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car. The engineering in the Porte is incredible – this self drive - even more so.

What’s really cool is the large sliding door on the passenger side. It makes transferring in and out of the car a breeze. Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice. It’s the perfect size for 2 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair.

Wheelchair Accessible Feature

Without exception, clients are amazed the first time they witness the incredible engineering of the Toyota Porte – and this one is even more exceptional.

This car has an OEM power wheelchair fitted into the drivers seat. At the push of a button the driver’s seat moves into the correct position which then enables it to move sideways towards the passenger door. The chair then rotates 90 degrees so that it now faces outside. The arm then lowers the chair to the ground.

The wheelchair passenger can detach from the ‘arm’ on which it sits by using the toggle on the arm of the power chair to move forward. The chair is powered by a battery source at the back of the chair. This battery enables the chair to travel an incredible 4.5km. That gives you more than enough power to head to the mall, to the beach, or as many of our clients have told us – a car like one of these has allowed them to go back to work.

When re-entering the car, the wheelchair is simply positioned onto the extended electric arm which then raises the wheelchair back into the car. turns 90 degrees to return the chair to the correct position and enable it to slide back to the drivers position again.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions

As mentioned before this wheelchair vehicle is all about the passenger door. In case your French is a little rusty, 'porte' is logically French for 'door'.

A beautiful 2006 pearl white Toyota Porte Welcab (wheelchair accessible vehicle) that has a OEM aluminium wheelchair all from the Toyota factory is uniquely fitted with left and right foot accelerator, perfect for those who need to use the left foot and favour the left side of the body due to injury or illness.

About This Car

The Toyota Porte has quickly become our most popular compact wheelchair access car because, according to customer feedback, clients love that they can actually travel in the front passenger seat with the driver beside them. They feel connected rather than being chauffeured in the rear of a larger people mover - which for many are the stereotypical wheelchair vehicles on offer.

Add to that the compact size, great overall visibility, ease of use and excellent economy, it’s an excellent choice if bigger isn’t always better for you. It’s the perfect size for up to 4 passengers plus the person in a wheelchair. This Porte is also uniquely fitted with a spinner knob on the steering wheel to help with steering.

If this is a deal breaker insofar as you love your own chair and can’t bear to drive anything else then an intelligent alternative is the Nissan Cube. It allows for rear ramp access and you can BYO wheelchair. Problem solved……

2005 Toyota Alphard

Stock # 716
$24,800
At $24,800 this car is a bargain. It is particularly perfect for larger families or parents who wish to grab the kids and some friends too - it offers so much flexibility. It is an 8 seater or a 5 seater with a wheelchair position in the rear. Not only does it have all the excellent welcab features Toyota are renowned for but it also has second row seats which all swing around and face the rear - so if you're off on a picnic you only need to open the doors, swing the seats around and have your lunch together inside the vehicle - very civilised.

It has travelled 189,200 km which might be a bit off putting if it wasn't a Toyota - as we've said many times as long as the car is well serviced Toyota's are made to run 500,000 km plus. Here at Integrity Car Sales And Rentals we try our very best to offer wheelchair access cars of all types to fit the needs and budgets of all our clients.

The Alphard was designed to be ultra comfortable and easy to use. The bucket velour seats are wide and soft with plenty of legroom. The rear seats are incredibly simple to operate. The on road handling and quiet motor are impressive and most importantly our wheelchair clients say the suspension is so good they don't feel the bumps when driving. Actually one client said that for him it was a 100 times better ride than a car which had an after market modification.

Toyota Alphard Wheelchair Feature

This Alphard is a sloper – it is named after the hydraulic sloping mechanism in the rear of the vehicle. As the car lowers an electric ramp unfolds at the same time. The lightweight yet strong aluminium ramp touches the ground at a 9 to 12 degree angle allowing a gentle incline for the wheelchair occupant to be loaded into the car.

When inside the car, Original Engineered and Manufactured (OEM) retractable belts and wire cables safely and securely lock the wheelchair in place for safe motoring. At the push of a button the belts and wire cables lock the wheelchair into a fixed position so the wheelchair is extremely safe.

We also fit International standard ‘Q-Straints’ or similar to each car to meet Australian Design Regulations (ADR’s) when required. This gives you an additional method to further secure your wheelchair for your safety. We also have put in a new stereo system with CD/DVD player, Australian GPS maps, reverse camera and bluetooth.

In our opinion local aftermarket conversions simply cannot match the standards, resources, vehicle knowledge, and manufacturing quality of Toyota. That’s why Toyota’s welcab vehicles are so superior.

Wheelchair & Car Dimensions

Approximate Interior dimensions of the wheelchair seating position are as follows:
Second Row: Height: 140cm Length: 105cm Width: 70cm.

Overall Vehicle Dimensions
Height: 1935mm Length: 4865mm Width: 1830mm
Seating – 5 passengers + 1 wheelchair person or 8 passengers

Toyota Alphard Engine, Economy & Reliability

You don’t see many Voxys like this one. It is a 7 seater with a new look stylish shape which has a transfer power wheelchair seat in the second row. It pauses while the wheels of the seat lower then all is completely lowered to the ground.

Without a doubt people are very impressed when they see the extraordinary fitment, engineering and practicality of these well designed transfer chair welcabs.

The greatest thing about this type of wheelchair feature is you can use the transfer chair or not depending on who you have in the car with you. If you are not using the chair it just becomes one of 7 seats in this well designed family car.

A big plus to having a side transfer wheelchair as your disability feature in a car is that if in the future there may be a time when the feature is no longer needed it simply becomes one of the normal car seats. It is a wheelchair accessible vehicle that can be a wav or not depending on the needs of the family.

About the Nissan Elgrand

The Elgrand is a full size luxury MPV (Multi Purpose Vehicle). This one is a second generation with a new sporty looking front shape and chromed grille. Dubbed ‘king of the van’ in Japan these cars were built for the celebrity market thus they boast a massive interior space with versatile and ultra comfortable large seats and lots of head room. The rear seats easily stow away so you simply use the seats you need. Whether you stow the rear seats or not there is still loads of room to pack anything you may need for that road trip – even the kitchen sink could go!

Clients love that they can walk through from the second row to the rear. We drove one for a while and my kids nicknamed it ‘the airplane car’. There is plenty of room for kids to have their own space which (lets face it) is always a plus whether on a long drive or just a short trip up the road.

Aside from the luxury drive the Elgrand has a lot of extras; all power features, dual air conditioning, a power door, snow setting, aluminium alloy wheels, ABS brakes, airbags, a Panasonic cd/radio player, and like all our cars it has been fully complied to Australian Design Regulations. This includes servicing, new tyres, air filter, oil & brake fluids, child restraints, catalytic converters and an English manual explaining all you need to know to take good care of your car.

Overall vehicle Dimensions.

Easy to park and drive, you get all the bonuses of a stylish van but you can still go into undercover parking.

Nissan Elgrand Wheelchair Feature

The second row passenger seat has a transfer chair which sits upon an electric arm. The chair swivels around till it faces the door and then at the push of a button you can lower the chair out of the door and onto the ground. The chair then releases off the arm and becomes a push wheelchair. There are brakes at the top of the chair for the carer to use. It’s a good idea to check out the photos above and the video which clearly shows its use :)

Nissan Elgrand Engine, Economy and Reliability.

You get plenty of grip and power from the 3.5 L V6 engine and as mentioned earlier the motor is wonderfully quiet. The fuel consumption is around 14-15 litres per 100 km around town which is pretty good considering it is a 2 tonne vehicle. Clients say saving money in fuel depends entirely on how smoothly you drive. On the highway they perform around 10 – 11 litres per 100km so clearly like the Alphard they were built for a road trip.

Toyota and Nissan both enjoy the reputation of being one of the finest makers of cars today and locating parts if needed is not a problem in Austraia.
